never say never whatever you do [Aug. 13th, 2004|05:04 pm]
Nchanter
i just did something i said i'd never do: i bought milk. It's only a pint, and it's so i can make annies brand mac and cheese.

but still, i bought milk. i think i'm gonna go die now.

**added**

i'm slightly lactose intolerant. eating good icecream in any real qantity makes me qeesy, and the taste of milk makes me sick. last night, i told darxus he couldn't go get milk 'cause i wasn't feeling well, and i wouldn't want to kiss him with the taste of it on his lips. so yea, that's the big deal

i'm from virginia. i order my steaks still bleeding. no, i'm not vegan. i just amended the post to explain that i can't stand the taste of milk, and i'm slightly lactose intolerant. it's just... milk is icky.

it DOES taste icky! i think we've had this conversation before - i can handle it in other foods but it tastes NASTY plain. I always had to have Ari go eat/drink something else if he'd had milk (which didn't happen often anyway).

I'm so proud of you! but what ever are you going to do with the rest of the pint after making annies? Hello, drainpipe!

a pint isn't that much. and it will keep for a few days, and i have like 6 boxes of the stuff in the house.

soy milk works pretty good like that, that what we usually have around.

gwen use to use the soy milk in the barn vs the sketchy milk in the fridge for annie's. it was never the same. i can taste the difference. no, i'm sorry, but that's just not an adiquite solution.

i also tried powdered milk. it doesn't congeal correctly.

So no one will ever refer to you as a milkmaid, we'll just have to use other terms of sweetness instead. =)
