I almost asked this in the IRC channel that darxus and i hang out in, but then i realized it was made up of (mostly) boys, and well, i might get a more useful responce here.

Can i own the same pair of fairy wings in two colors?

"Let me 'splain. no, let me summerize"

I own a pair of wings i love in purple. But that shade of purple will not match the thing i'm makeing for halloween, and i want a pair of black wings. i'm thinking of trying to find the same wings in black (this might not be too hard, i know where i got them from, and i only got them a year ago) but wonder if that's too crazy, and shoudl i find another style of wings, in black instead.

Said purple wings can be seen in my icon.

Yes!

A girl can never have enough pairs of wings.

I have shirts, skirts, bras, shoes and purses all in same style but different color because I found that they worked well for me...why not wings too?

Wait...wait.
Let me get this straight. You're asking us to act as fashion police or sanity inspectors and tell you that you shouldn't get something that you've already determined that you want, and can afford the money and space for? Just because it might be silly to have the same thing in two different colors, even if you know it's a style you like and how to find them again?

What was the dilemma again?

I was on the phone with doeeyedbunny last night when she said, "If the shoe fits...buy it in more than one color". I firmly beleive this is applicable to wings as well.

I'm all for the multiple wings plan. Though, you might see if there is another style that you like just as well, just for versitility. But, if there isn't, the more the merrier should also work for wings in my book.

well I don't own many wings so while they are not my specialty, I am still awfully good at shopping. So considering I own one tank top in 5 different colors, another in 4... i think multiple items of the same color are definately ok ;-)

I think you should go for it. A girl can never have too many wings. And if you've found *your* wingshape, then you should be happy and not feeling silly. :)

I want pictures. Lots and lots of pictures. :) :)

Where do you get your wings from? I've been wanting a new pair... Either black and batty and furry, or green (to match that dress) and furry. Not sure why on the furry, though.

Wings

There's one of those temporary halloween stores in the shaw's plaza on Lexngton street in Waltham..TONS of different wings and the prices weren't too bad. I saw a pretty pair of dark green and black glittery insect-y almost butterfly type wings.

Re: Wings

Hmm. I'm not really actively wing-searching, but thanks for the tip. I hadn't thought of looking in the halloween stores for wings just because the last pair I got in a halloween store was rather substandard (my "good" pair I got at a ren faire in PA). But some of those type stores can have a good selection.

I vote more wings too. I have a few things in more than one colour, and I really do wear them - besides, it's halloween. It's not like this is ENTIRELY a whim. You're allowed to bend your morals for Halloween.

If it aint broke, don't fix it.

If the style works for you and you like it then why not, you should have a pair of wings for every outfit you own. That being said do the wings really work for what you are making or does it demand something more interesting or dramatic than what you have?
