Sorry to hear of your accident! It true that accidents are more likely to occur when we are over-tired or stressed out. Luckily this was minor, in the scheme of life, but not minor in pain and aggravation. I'm sending you some healing, restful wishes. Take good care of yourself!
yeek, i'm so so sorry that happened!
i hope the healing goes smoothly and quickly!
aww you poor thing... i'm glad you're ok for the most part!
i ♥ you!!!
get better! and if needed, i think i can do the presentation myself... at least i hope. lol
i'll hopefully see you on Sunday.
-Once upon a time, when I was a teenager, my folks sent me to the store to pick up some groceries. I took the minivan. The groceries included a gallon of milk, etc. After I got the groceries, I set the bag down in-between the seats. In a minivan, that's just flat floor.
-While driving out of the parking lot, the guy in front of me stopped for traffic. I was too close behind him, so I stopped hard. The groceries fell over. I thought nothing of this — there were no eggs or such in there — until the van lurched forward. And again.
-The damn gallon of milk had rolled onto the accelerator.
-I stomped down on the brake, which didn't quite stop the van from moving. I was about to rear-end the guy in front of me, or (if he got out of the way), drive into traffic. So I'm standing on the brake, while trying to bend down and get the milk (which isn't easy, in a minivan, when you're six-foot-two). As I recall, I managed, but just barely.
-All of which is to say, dumb stuff like that happens to all of us, sweetie. I hope you feel better soon, and let me know if I can help in any way.
if you need me to work my tricks let me know.

I lived just a few blocks from the Cambridge Hospital for seven years, when I was in Somerville, but never went there. Then this year, when I moved to Cambridge and got on Cambridge Health Alliance free care, I got several appointments there. Right from the first time, it really struck me that this was the friendliest hospital or clinic I could ever remember visiting.
I'm glad you're okay. Cars are such dangerous things, and we get so used to them!
goodness! I don't even know what to say :hugs: I'm glad you're not broken broken... I'll try and call you once I finally get home.
I love you! Don't feel too stupid, I've done stupider things (I just haven't posted abt them).
Whoa!
Well...when you ever decide to have a kid, labor will be a breeze!
I'm deeply relieved to know you're ok.
Ouch. But I'm so glad to hear that you are okay! What happened is just one of those unlucky freak circumstances. I hope you heal soon, and aren't in too much pain.
Ouch.... I hope you get better soon.
Glad to hear you're still in good spirits. Best of luck with your recovery :-)
Owie! I'm glad nothing is permanently damaged, and I hope the healing is quick and the pain goes the hell away.
I’m so glad you’re (medium- to long-term) OK! Get better soon!
Eeep! Glad to hear that you don't have permanent, serious damage. Get well soon!
Ow ow ow ow ow ow ow. I'm really glad to hear that you're alright and that nothing is permanently injured. Rest up and get well.
I'm so sorry! I'm glad to hear you're ok...
I mean, of course, ok on a "will be ok" kind of sense. Feel better quickly
I was too tired last night to respond coherently, but I hope all is (eventually) well and I'll send healing thoughts your way.
Plus side -- when you're at parties, folks will be falling over themselves to dance attendance on you. Revel in this!
Shit. At least you're ok.
*hugs* I hope you recover quickly :(
Ouchie, to the maximum. What a scary sounding experience! I'm glad you're mostly okay. Good luck on a speedy recovery. Arnica gel might be a great idea. If it works for SCA fighters after a long day spend beating one another with sticks, I'd imagine it might do wonders for your poor foot.
Arnica gel might be a great idea Yea, Annie thought of that and picked some up for me -- both in topical format and in "let this dissolve in your mouth" format. I've only done one round of it so far, but I'm hopful.
Terrific. I sincerely hope it helps. Soft tissue damage like that can be a real bitch. Just take it easy, and hopefully you'll be no worse for wear soon.
Ouch! I'm glad you're not hurt worse. I hope you feel better really soon.
oh sweetie, i'm so sorry! that sounds like a really scary experience, but i'm so proud of you for handling it the way you did. and don't feel stupid, i once knocked myself out by jumping out of my bed and hitting my head on one of the bedposts. i wish you a speedy recovery!
Yee gods. I'm sorry Kris *hugs*
Relax and take care, sweetheart. I'm so glad you're okay. Ice packs and heating pads (or gently microwaved damp washcloths) will be your two new best friends while you recoperate. :-)
*hug*
Oh no, feel better, Kris. For what it's worth, I've done some really careless things in the context of work that I can't even talk about, except to say that it cost several people a lot of money and earned me probation. (I have also fallen asleep at the wheel long enough to go off the road twice -- one reason I never drive anymore.) We all screw up. Some of us spectacularly.
Get well pronto!

Gaaah! I leave the country for a few days, and you start busting up your leg.
Very very glad nothing permanent's done. Hugs and kisses and admonishments to follow your doctor's orders.
Ouch! Very sorry that happened...
I hope you feel better soon! Stas
I'm sorry you're hurt, hopeful that you've found pain-medication that works for you, and glad your prognosis is good.
I wanted to explicitly sympathize with the "moving your foot for the different x-ray positions HURTS". I broke my ankle many many years ago, and the first 3 or 4 orthopedic visits were miserable, only because of the positions I had to move (and hold) my ankle into.
And: Darxus is taking excellent care of me. He's not even poked the bruised area once.
I'm so glad to hear that! He's a nice man, and it would be unfortunate if you had to reach down his throat and tear his spleen out. ;-)
Meep! Head petting! Meep again! May you heal quickly, easily, and uneventfully. |
