So I thought people might like to know how I'm doing:
Yea, quick synopses. While I am bored, I don't currently feel like writing out descriptive prose.
-Kris (Who is no longer in good spirits about the whole thing)
- I'm bored out of my mind.
- I still can't walk without crutches.
- I've transitioned to a whole new type of pain. At least it's something new.
- The school e-mail server is down so I can't e-mail some of my prof's (yes, I've left them voice-mails)
- I don't know if I'm going to get Christmas presents done for my family in time.
- Apparently my car door is damaged where my foot was.
- I now think the Doctor-type-lady at Cambridge Hospital was wrong as to how serious an injury this is.

Frankly, I'm no expert, but soft tissue damage, is very very hard to gauge, in terms of severity. Ask anyone who's had one, often a sprain is more sucky to have, then a fracture. Judging by how swollen your foot was in that picture, it almost might be a good idea to go back and get a reassessment of the situation after another day or so. Especially if you continue to be in such bad pain. By then, hopefully some more of the swelling will have gone down. Too much swelling also makes it tough to really make a call as to the extent of what's wrong. I have a cousin who does sports medicine, so all this I parrot at you is mostly her talking.
Me + Julie = visiting you today.
that should help with the bordem at least :/
I agree with water_childe
; if it continues to hurt what you feel is an inappropriate amount, seek re-diagnosis. Who knows; maybe this time they'll give you the good stuff for the pain. ;-)
You might get an air cast or something, too, to help immobilize it.
I hope you're feeling better really soon. Big hugs for you!
If I wasn't already in NH I would come down to visit. I am sorry to hear it, hon. I know how much it sucks to be injured and not able to move without crutches or help. Boredom really is the worst enemy.
Don't worry about Christmas presents - the important thing is for you to get well and I should think your family would agree with that. Being a little late is not going to hurt anything.
Don't hesistate to get a second opinion if you fear it might be more serious than originally thought. No one is infallible.
Take it easy hon. And feel better soon.
wow, I can't believe you damaged your car door yet *didn't* break anything in your foot. Anyway, I hope for a speedy recovery for you :)
