Supposedly, if you have more than 40 of these, you're spoiled.

Do you have:

() your own phone line not other than my cellphone
() TiVo or a generic digital video recorder
(2) high-speed internet access (i.e., not dialup)
() a surround sound system in bedroom
() DVD player in bedroom unless you count my laptop
() at least a hundred DVDs
(3) a childfree bathroom
() your own in-house office
()a pool
() a guest house
() a game room
() a queen-size bed or larger
(4) a stocked bar mostly
(5) a working dishwasher
() an icemaker [Have one, in-freezer, but no water line attached]
() a working washer and dryer at the moment Darxus does, but I'm about to not, so... I'm not counting it.
() more than 20 pairs of shoes
() at least ten things from a designer store
() expensive sunglasses
(6) framed original art (not lithographs or prints) yes, but that's 'cause a bunch of my friends went to art school. Art as gift's cause they are broke really shouldn't count. Also, some of it is MINE.

() more than two credit cards bearing your name (not counting gas cards or debit cards)
(14) a stock portfolio I think.
() passport not at the moment, actually. I should get on that one...
() a horse
() a trust fund
(15) private medical insurance
(16) a college degree, and no outstanding student loans but I'm in college and (probably) won't have loans, so I'm counting it. I KNOW I'm spoiled in this regard

Do you:
() shop for non-needed items for yourself (like clothes, jewelry, electronics) at least once a week

(rewrite) This list is just a wee bit biased.
Good credit has nothing to do with being spoiled. That's responsible. And wearing scent or having a passport... Yeah. I shut up now.

See, I am tempted to agree with you about good credit, but I think there is a heavy, middle-class bias in there.

When good credit means paying your bills on time, and not taking on expenses you can't cover, it is a matter of responsiblity. But for some people, bad credit is because they had to choose between paying rent or buying food or punting the electric bill this month, so they can afford gas to get to work. In those cases, its a matter of privledge, rather than responsiblity.

Yea, I agree. I think this meme is all sorts of fucked up because I KNOW I am spoiled and only got 24... I'm not even close. I feel like, at the very least "Been given a car" or "Someone else pays your credit card bill" should be on there.

Yeah, I gt 28, so a few more than you (mostly cause I've traveled more, I think), and I consider myself pretty spoiled. But I also grew up in a family (and a location) that does not do the conspicuous-consumption thing that I tend to associate with wealthy suburbs, and this quiz is looking for a lot of that stuff, as opposed to "someone else pays my rent, tuition, car insurance" etc.

I consider myself pretty spoiled, too, and I probably got roundabouts what you did, or even a little less. I mean, I know people who are more spoiled than me, but I still have some things in life really easy, and I know it.
