Because I am unable to make a bloody decision... [Apr. 28th, 2006|12:02 pm]
[emotional state |curiouscurious]

I am asking the collective wisdom of y'all.

Cable -- Comcast or RCN? This will be in Cambridge. If I were staying in Arlington, I'd just do RCN. But their service seems to vary by area. Comcast is also the Evil Empire. Choices choices.

Pillow Forms. In an attempt to find them at reasonable prices, I came upon a website called Pillow Forms Online. Obviousely this is the cheepest I am going to find them. But it provides very little information on the quality of the product. I'd be doing poly-fill or poly-cotton blend, as people do have down allergies (my dad did) and, well yea. Would y'all go with them? It's really tempting.
If I don't go with them, I'll probably order from SoftShapesDirect

For referace: A 14" very good quality polyfill pillow form retail is about $7.

-Kris, who now needs to deal with utilities, which is productive without having to stand, something her body doesn't want her to do right now.

I typically steer people towards comcast as the service has been very reliable. I know from a Customer Service standpoint, Comcast, Adelphia and RCN have their issues. The latest RCN options though are interesting for budget internet.

RCN now offers either 1.5MB 5MB or 10MB service at $20,$30,$40. They have a promo now for the 1.5MB at $17/mo with a 1yr contract.

I haven't looked into the bundles, but I'd go with the price as a determiner.

i've got comcast here and it hasn't made me want to kill anyone yet. in terms of the pillow forms... i'd think that they would be ok, since most of your discount comes from the fact you're buying by the case and not single forms.

Comcast all the way. RCN's customer service blows goats. I'm not kidding.

Hunh, my experience has been just the opposite. As a protogeek I like that I can call up RCN and talk to people who have at least some clue what they're doing rather than reading off a "did you reboot your PC yet" script.

The time they demonstrated that not only did they know what DynDNS was but why I would be using it, I was dead impressed.
