For your pondering pleasure [Jul. 11th, 2006|05:15 pm]
[emotional state |lovedloved]

I have noticed, lately, that when someone says "I love you, Kris." It has just a little more impact than just "I love you." In a good way. Anyone care to speculate why?

I have long felt this way.

I often use my lover's name when I say, "I love you."

I get a thrill when it happens in return.

I think it's the personalization.

And, also, there is often a loving inflection in the voice when you say the name.

If someone says, "I love you, Kris," that means that they see YOU.

yes. that it's KRIS they're talking about, and not a random "I love you too sweetie"

I am SO guilty of the "I love you too sweetie" thing. I should be better about names
