ZOMG MOVING! [May. 4th, 2010|02:48 pm]
So... I'm moving! We are going to be living on the second floor of very quirky but spacious 140 year old farmhouse in Littleton, MA. It has a laundry room with lavender walls, and the living room has 8" pine board flooring. It also has a new roof, newly insulated walls, and brand new electrical wiring. :)

I just scheduled Nick's Moving Co. (Their website is lame but they definitely get the job done) for Wednesday, May 19th. I'm only a little bit packed so far.

My Mother has insisted on buying us a new couch and chair. Which means I have to come up with something to do with my current ones. They are in fantastic shape structurally and comfort wise... but they have off-white upholstery covering that is old and dingy. I got them for free when a friend's parents downsized, and they have served me well over the past 7 or so years, and was planning on just slipcovering them when we moved. As I got them for free, I'm more than happy to pass them on to anyone on my friends list, or greater friends-list community, as long as you haul them out of here before Memorial Day Weekend. If I get no takers I'll throw up a $50 ad on Craigslist or something. The couch is ~6' long, the chair is big and cumfy, comes with an ottoman, and two matching floor pillows.

I might end up having more stuff to unload once I start actually packing....

Next week some night? I do still need to have stuff to sit on until I move -- the actual move is the 19th. But next week one night for the chair and ottoman would work.

I really don't think a station wagon will work for the couch -- we used a pickup truck to get it over 'cause it wouldn't fit in my SUV -- it's not a small couch.

Awesome! one less thing to worry about now!
